"Would you know who is the greatest saint in the world: It is not he who prays most or fasts most, it is not he who gives most alms or is most eminent for temperance, chastity or justice; but it is he who is always thankful to God, who wills everything that God wills, who receives everything as an instance of God's goodness and has a heart always ready to praise God for it."
The above quotation is a gentle reminder for us to count our blessing as often as we could. Ofttimes in the midst of our trials and tribulations, we forget God's goodness and His love for us. We whine and grumble as if we are the only one suffering in this whole wide world. Recently, I have been suffering from a bad flu and I am still having problem sleeping at night due to overactive mucus secretion and cough. In the midst of physical suffering, I couldn't help but to grumble that I shouldn't have gone to the church camp because that is where I contacted the flu bug. This quote is a timely reminder that we are to give thanks in all circumstances. Thank God for a wonderful time of receiving His Words of encouragement in the camp. Thank God for a time of rest where I do nothing but sleep and laze around. Thank God for a caring mother who tries all remedy to help me recover from my flu. Thank God for everything. In Him do I put my trust because He is a God of faithfulness and of mercy and grace.
